Google Nexus 9 by HTC Tipped to Launch on October 15

A new report claims that Google's next Nexus tablet will be
called Nexus 9, will be manufactured by HTC, and will be
launched on October 15. It added that the tablet is expected
to be priced at a premium price compared to previous
generation Nexus tablets.
The Bright Side of News has learned from its sources that
Google's HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet will indeed launch on
October 15, in-line with an earlier report, and will be priced
at $399 (Rs. 24,500 approximately). About the premium
price tag of the alleged Nexus 9, BSN notes that Google is
aiming to "bring a premium quality device to market at an
affordable price."
Additionally, the report tips that the rumoured Nexus 9 will
go on sale starting November 3, while will go up for pre-
orders beginning October 15. The report also claims that
Google for the first time in order to offer its new Nexus
tablet to a broader audience will make the device available
at most major retailers online. However, the report only
names B&M, one of UK's retailers, while also suggesting
that the company will place mini-kiosks at select Best Buy
stores.
Further, the report suggests that the alleged Nexus 9 will
indeed be powered by Nvidia's Tegra K1 SoC, corroborating
recent leaks .
It also points to an excerpt from Nvidia's blog (from
August), "And for hard-core Android fans, take note that
we're already developing the next version of Android - "L" -
on the 64-bit Tegra K1." The blog further cements the fact
that the Nexus 9 will pack Nvidia's chipset.
On Thursday, one of HTC's executives 'confirmed' that the
yet-to-be-launched Nexus 9 would mark "HTC's
commitment" to tablet market after almost three years. He
also went on to suggest that the next Nexus tablet featuring
an 8.9-inch display would be released in Taiwan by end of
2014 or Q4.
