Bluetooth speakers prove to be very convenient: There's one for every budget, they occupy very little space, connect to multiple devices - laptops, tablets and phones - wirelessly, and some of these come with their own special features, including built-in microphones that let you answer hands-free calls whenever your phone is connected.

Marshall Stanmore (Rs 32,500) boasts of a built-in bass unit and is capable of clean sound even at high levels. The speakers sport a vintage design, complete with analogue knobs and a cloth grille. It comes with a 3.5mm port at the top (cable included), as well as an RCA and optical input at the back, allowing easy connection for a variety of sources. Buy if you want a speaker that's a conversation starter because of its classic looks and rich audio.

Then, there's Bose Soundlink Mini (Rs 16,900) that boasts top-notch sound quality — deep bass and room-filling acoustics — in a compact form factor. Buy if you want the best audio quality in wireless speakers. Besides, the brand name and its classy design make it a great addition to any bachelor pad or bookshelf.

JBL Charge (Rs 6,200) is a portable speaker that's built to take knocks and bumps. It is capable of a full-bodied sound due to a built-in bass driver, with an output that's enough to fill a medium-sized room. It doubles up as a battery pack -— its 6,000mAh reservoir can also charge your smartphone via its USB port. Buy if you want a speaker that you can take along on road trips; its extra battery juice could come in handy to power your phone.

Jabra Solemate (Rs 5,900), JBL Flip 2 (Rs 5,700), Creative Muvo 10 (Rs 3,700), Logitech UE Boombox (Rs 3,300), and JBL Solemate Mini (Rs 3,200) are superb budget buys. The acoustics on these models are not as great as the Soundlink, or even the Charge, but they're still capable of good, honest audio, and are equipped with a microphone that allows you to make clear hands-free calls. You also get a cable with the Jabra Solemates — for wired connection — that fits snugly into a notch in the speaker base.

All of these promise value for money, and are great devices if you're looking for speakers to use at home, or even to carry along regularly in your backpack.
Note: All these devices come with an auxiliary port for wired audio, so you can also use these with non-Bluetooth devices as well.
